Nolwenn Hurel has an engineering degree in energetics from INSA Rouen (2013) and a PhD of building physics from the University of Grenoble Alpes (2016). Before joining PLEAIQ in 2019 she has been working as a consultant specialised in the modelling, thermal simulation and analysis of building elements.
She is working in collaboration with the Belgium company Physibel and is:
Modelling and simulating 2D/3D building components and façade elements with the Physibel software (BISCO, BISTRA, TRISCO, SOLIDO, VOLTRA...)
Giving trainings in French companies on the Physibel software BISCO (2D) and TRISCO (3D)
She has contributed to national projects and worked in France and abroad on various projects, for instance:
MOB-AIR, an ANR (National Agency of Research) project to understand, evaluate and classify air leakages for wooden houses.
Sub-additivity in combining infiltration with mechanical ventilation with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBL), USA.
GECKO Geo-structures, hybrid solar systems, energy storage: solution for energy positive buildings, an ANR (National Agency of Research) project.
PromevenTertiaire aiming at improving the reliability of inspection of ventilation systems protocols in non-residential buildings, an ADEME project
Durabilit'air 2 to study the building airtightness durability, an ADEME project
